  3. Perform 70 self-defense techniques.
  4. Demonstrate ability in kumite.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to fill a leadership role within the dōjō:

• Assist in dōjō maintenance. • Demonstrate the ability to run warm-ups. • Demonstrate the ability to teach small groups of lower-ranked students.
