Defense against a pursuit punch
- 7-3 inside and immediately twist inside with an opposite-side hassō-shutō strike to the opponent’s bicep.
- Execute an outside shutō block to the opponent’s wrist.
- Twist towards the opponent, with an opposite-side spearhand strike to their eye.
- Execute a same-side palmheel strike to the opponent’s chest, grabbing their gi to pull them upright.
- Execute a spearhand strike to their groin.
- Execute a same-side palmheel strike to the opponent’s chest, grabbing their gi to pull them upright.
- Execute a spearhand strike to their throat.
- Execute a same-side palmheel strike to the opponent’s chest, grabbing their gi to pull them upright.
- Execute an uppercut to the solar plexus.
