Defense against a one-hand shirt grab, with an intent to punch
- Trap the opponent’s wrist with your same-side hand, and leg sweep their same-side foot to the outside to off-balance the opponent.
- This must be done quickly; lapel grabs are typically followed by a reverse punch, like in ice hockey fights.
- Tenkan inside to takedown the opponent with a wristlock.
- Finish the opponent with stomp kicks.
