Defense against a one-hand lapel grab with an incoming punch (Defense against an ice hockey player)
- Trap the opponent’s grabbing hand with your opposite-side grab; your arm and elbow will act as a temporary meat-shield.
- Peel the opponent’s wrist off of your lapel, turning it inside into a reverse wristlock.
- Twist outside with an outside elbow break.
- Perform one of the following:
- Apply an outside and finfish the opponent with knee kicks.
- Takedown the opponent with ikkyō-omote.
