Defense against a downward club attack
- 7-3 outside with an outside shutō block.
- Execute a simultaneous (Kūsankū) pressing block, and low-level tate-shutō to the opponent's inner thigh.
- Reap. Trap the arm controlling the club as the opponent falls.
- Finish the opponent with a stomp kick to any open vital areas.
