Defense against a pursuit punch

  • Kneel, with a simultaneous (Kūsankū) same-side rising block and a reverse punch to the instep.
  • Simultaneously pull on the opponent’s ankle and push on their hip for a takedown.
  • Reverse punch to the opponent’s groin.
  • Step-slide (or scooch) forward, reverse punch to the face.
