Defense against a pursuit punch
- Kneel, with a simultaneous (Kūsankū) same-side rising block and a reverse punch to the opponent's instep.
- Simultaneously pull on the opponent’s ankle and push on their hip for a takedown.
- Reverse punch to the opponent’s groin.
- Step-slide (or scooch) forward, with a reverse punch to the face.
