Defense against a pursuit punch
- Step your same-side leg back into a fighting stance, with an opposite-side downward shutō block.
- Off-balance the opponent with a front leg sweep, with a same-side hassō-shutō strike to the opponent’s neck for a takedown.
- Grab the opponent’s wrist and neck to immobilize them, and then break their neck.
