Mikazuki-geri uke, the crescent kick block, refers to the defensive applications of inside cresent kicks.
Inside crescent kicks can swat incoming attacks aside. Additionally, when the opponent shifts into crane stance to throw a kick, an inside crescent kick to their thigh will rotate their body, causing their kick to miss its target.

Crescent kick blocks are one of the few available defensive options when your hands are restrained.
