Defense against a pursuit punch
- Twist inside, with an opposite-side downward slap to deflect the incoming punch.
- Immediately perform a same-side grasping block to the opponent’s wrist, pulling them into an opposite-side makkikomi-shutō to the side of their neck.
Notes
This is a variation of the slap-grab-uraken combination from Yonaka and many other kata.
