Defense against a pursuit punch
- Twist, either inside or outside, into a hook stance with a same-side ridgehand block.
- Perform a simultaneous (Kūsankū) same-side grasping block to the opponent’s wrist and a two-fingered spearhand strike to their eyes or throat.

This waza is the bunkai from opening of Katachi no Chugoku-te Dō.
