Defense against a front kick
- 7-3 inside, with a downward-fist block.
- Twist into the opponent and counter with one of the following:
- Reverse punch to the opponent’s groin.
- Hassō-shutō to the opponent’s clavicle.
- Tate-shutō to the opponent’s neck.
- Front kick to the opponent’s abdomen or groin.
- Opposite-side backfist strike to the opponent’s nose.
