Defense against a rear mug, with another attacker closing in from the front
- Front kick the attacker's groin or abdomen, as an atemi.
- Stomp kick the mugger’s instep.
- Hook your foot around the ankle of the mugger’s injured foot, and pull it forward (like a front exercise kick) for a takedown (a variation of the reap).
- Stab at the attacker’s eyes with a two-fingered spearhand strike.
