Defense against a downward stab
- 7-3 inside with an inside shutō block, striking the opponent's inner wrist.
- Ideally, this causes the opponent to drop the knife.
- Inside elbow strike to the opponent’s floating ribs.
- If the opponent still has the knife, grab their wrist to control the weapon, and and incapacitate them by any means necessary.
