Mikazuki-geri uke, the crescent kick block, refers to the defensive applications of inside cresent kicks.
Inside crescent kicks can swat incoming attacks aside. Additionally, when the opponent shifts into crane stance to throw a kick, you can inside crescent kicking their thigh will rotate their body, and the opponent’s kick will miss its target.

Crescent kick blocks are one of the few defensive options which are available when your hands are restrained.
